Volz Picks Up Bronze In 400 Free   The USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships   are in the home stretch with the completion on day four of the five day event at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando.  In tonight's Finals Emma Volz (16) swam to a Bronze Medal finish in the 400 Meter Freestyle with a time of 4:41.31.  In the same event, Jackie Kenny (15) finished 18th tonight dropping five seconds from her preliminary time.  She also scored a 12th place finish in the 100 Meter Backstroke,...

Volz Medals In 200 Free   Day three of the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships   are in the books and Emma Volz (16) stepprd it up a notch tonight in Championship Finals of the 200 Meter Freestyle where she went a 2:16.88, to bring home the 6th place medal.  Corey Stein (16) also swam the 200 Meter Freestyle and continued his streak of swimming best times.  Today he dropped almost two more seconds in the event to go a 2:08.44.  In tonight's last event for CVST the 400...

Kenny Leads Way On Second Day   Day two of the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships   and Jackie Kenny (16) led the way for CVST with a 9th Place finish in the 200 Meter Backstroke.  Kenny went a personal best time of 2:31.77 to win the Consolation Heat in tonight's Finals.  Emma Volz (16) also had the 200 Backstroke  where she finished 15th and the 100 Meter Freestyle, the second of her two off events for the evening, but stepped up big and finished 12th in the Consolation...

Labella Named July '11 SOM   The CVST Coaching Staff named six year old Kaitlyn Labella as its July Swimmer of the Month.  Kaitlyn swam four best times at the July 15th Friday Night at the Races and then two weeks later swam to another best time in her first 50 yard Freestyle at the CVST End of Summer Invitational.  Her times improved and average of 11% dropping a total of 25 seconds in the 25 yard Freestyle, 25 yard Breaststroke, 25 yard Butterfly and 100 yard Individual Medley.  Kaitlynis...

Kenny Elected To Florida Swimming Board   Jackie Kenny was elected by her peers to the Florida Swimming, Inc.  Board of Directors this past weekend at the 2011 Florida Swimming Long Course Senior Championships , in Fort Pierce, Florida.  Jackie will serve a two year term on the Board, the first year as the Junior Athlete Rep Resentitive and the second as the Senior Athlete Representitive.  Emma Volz (16) of CVST is currently the Senior Athlete Representitive for Florida Swimming.   Congratulations Jackie!
