CVST Fast at EOS Meet
CVST hosted their End of Summer (EOS) Meet July 30th, at the Emerald Greens Rec Center with approximately 100 swimmers from three teams participating. This was the final meet of the season for CVST’s Age Groupers and they really swam fast!
Led by 10 year-old, Madeline Rawls and her four personal best times the whole team had a great meet! Rawls dropped time in the 50, 100 & 200 yard freestyle events along with the 100 Individual Medley, where she dropped over four seconds. Corey Stein (16), using the meet as a tune-up for the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships swam to three best times in some of his off events. Blake Parker(8) had big swims in the 8&Under Girls 25 Breaststroke and the 25 Butterfly dropping over three seconds in both events and her sister Brooke (13) dropped over seven seconds in the 100 Breaststroke. Demmi Parrino (11).went her best times in the 100 Freestyle and the 50 Butterfly. Carla Garrett (8) did the same in the 50 Freestyle and the 25 Butterfly, while her sister Lillian (11) dropped around six seconds in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. Fitz Rawls (12) dropped from his previous best times in two events which included a drop of almost 19 seconds in the 500 Freestyle.
Above are only a few of the swimmers who had big drops from their previous best times in the meet. Here are some more swimmers who also had great swims and new personal bests: Abigail Akers (12), Isabella Bahr (10), Kristen Docobo (15), Abigail Forman (9), Samuel Forman (6), Emma Herron (9), Jacqueline Kenny (15), Kaitlyn Labella (6), Kristine Lee (16), Thomas Mayer (15), Shloke Patel (6), Courtney Prima (16) and Emma Volz (16).
