USA Swimming SZ Senior Champ's: Volz & Zambito Swim Big In 200 Free   Maria Zambito and Emma Volz swam in the Women's 200 Meter Freestyle tonight at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships, in Orlando.  Both Girls had great swims going personal best times in the event.  Volz medaled in the event finishing 8th in the Championship Final dropping a full second and going 2:15.49.  Zambito finished second in the Consolation Final and lowering her personal best by another 4 seconds with a 2:21.90. USA Swimming SZ Senior Champ's: Kenny, Volz & Zambito All Final On Day Two Day Two of the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships is complete and CVST's jackie Kenny, Emma Volz and Maria Zambito all qualified for tonight's finals.  Zambito qualified for the Bonus Final Heat of the Women's 100 Meter Freestyle.  Volz made it back in the Consolation Finals of both the Women's 100 Meter Freestyle and the 200 Meter Backstroke, while Kenny is also coming back in the Consols of the 200 Meter Backstroke. Volz Opens Senior Zone Meet With Silver Medal The USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships got underway tonight in Orlando and CVST's Emma Volz opened with a silver medal in the meets first event. Volz placed 2nd in the women's 800 meter freestyle with a time of 9:35.61 The meet continues tomorrow with preliminary events starting at 9:00 am and the finals starting at 5:00 pm. "JO Jackie" Shines at Junior Olympics CVST's Jackie Kenny was the team's only representitive at last weekend's Florida Swimming Long Course Junior Olympic Championships, held in Orlando, at the YMCA Aquatic Center, and represent she did.  Jackie swam three events is in the meet, the 100 and 200 backstroke events and the 1650 Freestyle going best times in all three.   In her first event of the meet, the 13-14 Girls 200 Meter Backstroke, Jackie went a 2:39.04, dropping over six seconds.  Her second event was the 13-14 Girls 100...

Owen Mackenzie - June 2010 Swimmer of the Month   Owen Mackenzie (9) has been named the CVST Swimmer of the Month for the month of June 2010.  Owen receives this award based on his performance at CVST's Annual Tampa bay Swim Classic.  The event is hosted by CVST Annually at Northshore Pool in St. Petersburg.  In the meet, Owen went best times in six events, dropping over 24 seconds!  Congratulations Owen and keep up the great work!

Isabella Bahr - July 2010 Swimmer of the Month   Isabella Bahr (9) of the CVST Bronze Practice Group has been named the July 2010 CVST/Speedo Swimmer of the Month Award winner. During the Month of July, Bahr only swam in one meet but went best times in all her events and dropped an amazing 71.54 seconds in those events, Congratulations Isabella and keep up the great work!
