Rawls Family Takes Family Relay Trophy Last night at the Annal CVST Family Night, the Rawls Family came away with the Annual Family Relay Trophy. This year, there were six families who vied for the 3+ foot trophy, and the honor of keeping the trophy until next year's Family Night. CVST Finishes Senior Champ's Same Way They Started CVST Finished up the 2011 Spring Florida Swimming Senior Championships in they same way they started, going five for five best times on the final day. The day started with Emma Volz (15) going a personal best in one of her off events, the 15-16 Girls 100 yard Freestyle, where she went :57.12. CVST Starts Senior Champ's 3 For 3 The first day of the 2011 Florida Swimming Spring Senior Championships is in the books and CVST swimmers went three for three best times. The evening started off with Emma Volz (15) going 10:41.13 in the 15-16 Girls 1000 yard Freestyle cutting just over five seconds off her previous best. CVST Alum Lynch 7th at ACC's In 50 CVST Alum and brother of Miss Meredith, Sullivan Lynch, is swimming in his final ACC Championship Meet this weekend for the Ramblin Wreck of Georgia Tech. Rawls Leads CVST With First "FLAGS" Cut CVST headed over to the Long Center, in Clearwater this past weekend for the Last Chance Meet and Fitz Rawls (12) of the CVST Senior 2 Practice Group led the way with his first ever Florida Age Group Championships (FLAGS) qualifying swim. CVST January Swimmer of the Month - Emma Herron The CVST Coaching Staff has selected Emma Herron (9) of the CVST Bronze Practice Group as the CVST Swimmer of the Month for January, 2011. At the Gulf Coast Swim Team Winter Invitational, held in Ft. Myers, Emma swam to a five out of six best time performance, including 12+ second drop in the 50 yard Breaststroke. CVST December Swimmer of the Month - Fitz Rawls The CVST Coaching Staff has announced that Fitz Rawls (12) of the Senior 2 Practice Group has been named the CVST Swimmer of the Month for December of 2010. Fitz earned the honor based on his performance at the Florida Swimming B Championships, held December 11-12th, in St. Petersburg. The weather wasn't quit conducive to swimming fast with a cold front that brought a freeze warning along with it, but Fitz was heating it up in the pool none the less. ...

CVST November Swimmer of the Month - Christopher Yatsula Christopher Yatsula (13) - Christopher Yatsula 0f the CVST Senior 2 practice group has been named the November CVST Swimmer of the Month. At the CVST Invitational, held at Emerald Greens on November 20th, Christopher had a perfect day swimming to a five for five lifetime best time performance. He also had a huge drop of over 12 seconds in his 200 Yard Freestyle. Great job Christopher! Keep up all of the hard work!
