CVST Swims Fast On Tuesday Night
CVST played host to Palma Ceia and Lakeland Yacht Club last night at the Emerald Greens Rec Center and had a great night of fast swimming.
The evening started out with the Freestyle events and in the first vent of the night, the 6&Under Girls 25 Free, Kaitlyn Labella (6) went her best time (:27.28) and picked up a second place finish. For the 6&Under Boys it was Sam Forman (6), Alex Freund (5) and Shloke Patel (5), who got second, fourth and sixth respectively. Labella also got 2nd in the 25 Backstroke, while Forman picked up 3rd in the 25 back and 2nd in the 25 Breaststroke. Freund was also 4th in the 25 Backstroke and Patel was fifth.
In the 8&Under Girls events, Carla Garrett (8) led the way for CVST with second place finishes in the 8&Under Girls 25 Back and 25 Breast along with 4th place finishes in the 25 Free & 25 Fly. Blake Parker (8) was sixth in the 25 Free and 11th in the 25 Back while Madeleine Forsell was 10th in the 25 Free and 8th in the 25 Back. In the 8&Under Boys, Chance Tirheimer (7) took 3rd in the 25 Free, 4th in the 25 Back, 2nd in the 25 Breast and first in the 25 Fly while teammate, Jack Mastandrea, took 4th in the 25 Free and 3rd in the 25 Back, 25 Breast & 25 Fly.
In the 10&Under age group, things were close all around. Madeline Rawls (10) picked up 4th place finishes in all four of the 10&Under evetns (50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly). Isabella Bahr (10) was 6th in the Free & Breast, 7th in the Fly and 8th in the Back. Abby Forman (9) was 5th in the Back & Fly and 7th in the Free & Breast. Lindsay Henkin (10) was 7th in the Back, 8th in the Free and 10th in the Breast. Emma Herron (9) was 9th in the Free, Back and Breast. On the 10&Under Boys side of things, Logan Tirheimer (9) was first in the 50 Fly, 2nd in the 50 Free and Breast and third in the 50 Back. Don Freund (10) was 2nd in the back, 3rd in the Free and Breast. Owen Mackenzie (10) was 3rd in the Fly and 4th in the Free, Back & Breast.
