The Green Sarges Beat Out the Blues Brothers (The Screaming Blueberries)

At this year’s annual Blue/Green Meet, people expected the Blue team to win. The Blue team has won the past 12 years, but not this year! With our captain, Emma Volz, we beat the Blues Brothers by a whopping 100 points! The Blues Brothers had 856 points and the Green Sarges had 956 points. Everyone swam great at the meet, the Blue team had some amazing swimmers but the green team was just too fast for them to catch up. The winning strategy for the Green team? Well we weren’t called the Green Sarges for nothing. We were a very well trained military army that took no prisoners! We had only two days to prepare ourselves, and within those two days everyone was working their hardest. The day of the meet we put on our cammo, assembled our marching line and showed the Blues Brothers who’s the boss! We had the Blue Team captain, Corey Stein, shaking in his jazz hat and swim suit. Overall, both teams swam very well; everyone had their game face on and did their best. Next year there will be two new captains, with two completely new teams. The question is that will the new Green Team keep the winning title or will the new Blue Team snatch it away? We will just have to see! Congrats to both teams, but the green team wins must live on!
