Volz Picks Up 800 Silver Medal
The
USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships
got underway tonight, in Orlando, at the
YMCA Aquatic Center
, on International Drive. The only events tonight were the 800 Meter Freestyles and Emma Volz (16) started things off fast, coming from 5th place in the race with about a 200 left, to finish second with a time of 9:33.05, and pick up the Silver Medal for the event. Jackie Kenny (15) also swam the 800 tonight cutting another 8 seconds from she personal best time set less than two weeks ago, and finishing 11th in the event with her time of 9:57.51. Representing the men for CVST was Corey Stein (16) who finished 12th for the with a time of 9:37.29.
