Green Team Wins Annual Blue/Green Meet   Team Captain Emma Volz and her Green Team defeated Captain Maria Zambito and her Blue Team in last nights Annual CVST Blue/Green Meet, 1,281 points to 1,226 points.  Although the margin of victory loks large, prior to the last set of individual events, there was only a one point margin.  It was the 100 Individual Medleys and the Relays that put the meet away for the Green Team.   There were many great swims in the meet and a load of new Blue/Green...

Silver Gold Swimmers Make Move To Senior 2 Group   Congratulations to the following swimmers who have moved to the Senior 2 practice group;  Talia Bagby, Logen Hartsock, Logan Ingerick, Owen MaKenzie, Tyler Sorenson, and Logan Tierheimer.  Practice is from 5:10 to 7:30 daily except for Tuesdays and Thursdays when practice starts at 5:00 for dryland with Manny.  Saturday practice runs from 7:00 to 9:00 am.  

CVST 6th at Boys & Girls Club National Championships     The Carrollwood Village Swim Team (CVST) brought home the 2013 Boys & Girls Club National Swimming Championship sixth place team banner.   The team was led by two-time National Champions, Emma Volz (18) who won the 1650 yard Freestyle and the 500 yard Freestyle events.  Volz also medaled in the 100 & 200 Freestyles.   The team also had the following Individual & Relay Medalists:    8&Under Girls Abby Eash (8) - 25 & 50 Freestyle, 25 Backstroke, 25 &...

Bronze Swimmers Moving Up To Silver-Gold Group   CVST has announced the names of the Bronze Group members who will be moving up to the Silver-Gold Practice Group tomorrow, April 9th.  Congratulations to the following swimmers and keep up all the hard work in the new group:   Mabry Bishop Abbie Eash Maddie Eash Kara Kivenas Brooke Lively Isabella Salgado Alex Smith Sara Smith   Remember, now that you will be in the Silver-Gold Group, your practice time changes to 4:30-6:00 pm.  

Ingerick Named 2013 CVST March SOM   March 2013 - Logan Ingerick (9) - In his first Florida Swimming Age Group Championship (FLAGS) meet at the Sarasota Potter Park YMCA, held March 7th – 10th, Logan Ingerick qualified in just two events.  Swimming in a field of mostly 10 year olds, the nine year old third grader from Berkeley Prep tied for 29th place in the state of Florida with a personal best time of 31.24 which tied him for the third fastest nine year old in the state championship...

Kenny Picks Up CVST February 2013 Swimmer of the Month Honors   February 2013 - Sean Kenny (8) - CVST's Sean Kenny has been named the February 2013 CVST Swimmer of the Month.  Sean received this award based on his performance at the 6th Annual Gasparilla Invitational held at Tampa Prep, February 8-10.  In the meet, Kenny swam to six best times in his six events for th e meet, including drops of 46+ seconds in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 16+ seconds in the 100 Yard Freestyle.  For the...
