Zambito Family Wins Annual CVST Family Relays
It was a great Family Night despite the cool weather and as always, the highlight f the evening were the Annual Family Relays. This year we had eleven families going for that coveted Family Relay Trophy and it was as competitive as ever!
After the Preliminary Round, there were was a tie for the sixth and final spot in the Championship Final Round for the first time ever, Therefore, a Swim-Off was was necessary between the Eash Family and the Edwards Family, where the Edwards Family snuck out a victory.
In the Championship Final, it was a close race between the top three teams, the Sorensen Family, the Tirheimer Family and the Zambito Family with both the Sorensons and the Tirheimers tied for first with one leg to go in the race. Here the Sorensons fell back a tad and the Tirheimer Anchor Swimmer (Logan) and Zambito Anchor Swimmer (Maria) battled to the final stroke where the Zambito Family touched out the Tirheimrs for the victory and the trophy!
Congratulations to all of our Family Relay Swimmers on a great job, and parents, maybe some of you should talk to Coach Randy about joining the Masters Team so you are ready again for next year.
