Gov. DeSantis Declares Sarasota Swimmer Champ Over Transgender Athlete TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Sarasota-native and Olympic silver medalist Emma Weyant finished second to Lia Thomas in the 500-yard freestyle event the Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday.
