Gov. DeSantis Declares Sarasota Swimmer Champ Over Transgender Athlete TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Sarasota-native and Olympic silver medalist Emma Weyant finished second to Lia Thomas in the 500-yard freestyle event the Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. CVST will be holding our first ever open water clinic on Saturday, April 23rd at Reddington Shores! The clinic will be 8:30-9:30am and include drills and games to introduce our athletes (our reintroduce) to Open Water Swimming. This event is Silver Group and up ONLY!
