CVST's Unique Goal Pin Program Succeeding

Welcome to the big time! 

Florida Age Group Swimming is one of the top five swimming states nationally!  One big challenge for new or younger swimmers to our sport, is that it's very hard to get a ribbon or earn an award for their swimming efforts.  To provide makable intermediate goals, Carrollwood Village Swim Team has revived their team goal pin program used back in the 70’s & early 80’s.  And it is working!  In our first nine months, our team has earned 476 goal pins, truly extraordinary!!

Each swimmer is given percentage improvement target linked to their current best times.   So, each new swim provides an opportunity for that swimmer to earn another CVST goal pin!   This keeps our swimmers motivated and excited to keep improving and working hard.  Exact records are kept, so every swimmer can see their results, keep improving and be rewarded!  Most other teams don't invest the same time, effort and money to reward their swimmers for improving!  It’s all about getting better, all the time and staying invested in our great sport!
