CVST Open Water Practice #2 To Take Place of Cancelled Race

Hey CVST, 

We will be holding our second open water clinic on Saturday, May 21st at Reddington Shores! The clinic will again be 8:30-9:30am and include open water drills and games to help our athletes learn more about Open Water Swimming. This event is open to the anyone in the Senior or  Presenior Groups and anyone who did the last Clinic or was signed up for the Open Water Meet that was cancelled.

We will again need parent volunteers for this event, especially if you have a kayak or paddleboard to help keep an eye on the kids and prevent them from swimming across the Gulf of Mexico. However, per USA Swimming Rules, parent volunteers must be non-athlete members of USA Swimming. If you have questions about how to become a non-athlete member, please see a coach on deck at practice. If you are willing to volunteer, please email maria@cvst.org, the more the merrier!

The location is across the street from Beach Pizza (selfishly chosen by Maria) and there is a small parking fee in this lot. The address is 18200 Gulf Blvd, Redington Shores, FL 33708. 

We hope everyone can make it, this is a fun change of scenery for our athletes and is such a fun side of swimming for them to experience!
