CVST's May Health & Nutrition Challenge Begins Monday, May 3
 
For the month of May and beginning on Monday, May 3rd, the CVST Nutrition & Health Challenge will be to bring your water bottle and spray bottle of sunscreen to practice with you each day. With the sun as hot as it is this time of year and getting hotter with each passing day and with practices during the hottest part of the day, we felt this would be a great time to combine our Water Bottle and Sunscreen Challenges.  We don't always realize just how much sun we are getting while in the pool during a workout and definiately don't realize that we are sweating in the pool, so this is a great way to help make sure we are protected from the sun and hydrated all at the same time!  
 
The coaches will help with spraying down swimmers before practice if needed. The swimmer’s progress will be documented on the charts in the CVST office doors and the swimmer(s) in each practice group with the most marks for bringing their water and sunscreen will take the prize! The goals of these nutrition challenges are to get all of our athletes thinking about what they’re putting in their bodies and to develop healthy habits for their futures. As always, the challenge is optional, but highly recommended.
