June 24, 2020 Dear Carrollwood Country Club Members, As I am sure most of you know, the Emergency Policy Group for Hillsborough County voted 5-3 on Monday in favor of requiring face coverings while inside most businesses. The order does provide exceptions for: *Children under the age of 2 *Persons observing social distancing in accordance with CDC guidelines *Persons for whom a face covering would cause impairment due to an existing health condition *Persons working in a business or profession who do not have interactions with other persons *Persons working in a business or profession who maintain social distancing from another person *Persons working in a business or profession where use of a face covering would prevent them from performing the duties of the business or profession *Persons exercising, while maintaining social distancing *Persons eating or drinking *Public safety, fire and other life safety and health care personnel, as their personal protective equipment requirements will be governed by their respective agencies *The requirement shall not apply when a person who is hearing-impaired needs to see the mouth of someone wearing a face covering in order to communicate *The requirement shall not be applied in a manner that would conflict with the Americans with Disabilities Act In addition, the order does not apply to religious services, nonprofit organizations, private clubs, and government agencies. Though the order does not apply to private clubs, Carrollwood Country Club is instituting the following as it relates to catering events that we may host: *All attendees of said event will be required to wear a face covering while at the club, with the exception of when eating or drinking. *This language will be included in each catering contract from today going forward. Any banquet that is already under contract will be notified in writing by the banquet coordinator stating our new requirement effective June 24th at 5:00 pm. Any attendee that does not arrive with a face covering will be provided one by the club or be refused entrance by Carrollwood Country Club staff. As a private club, Carrollwood’s Members will not be required to wear a face mask inside the building, however with the health of both Members and employees in mind, we are strongly encouraging you to wear a face covering except when outside, inside eating and drinking, or utilizing the fitness facility. The order issued by the Policy Group takes effect Wednesday, June 24, 2020 and is for seven days; at that point, the Group may either vote to extend it or allow it to lapse. I thank you in advance for your continued support, as do the staff members here at CCC. Should you have any questions or comments, please email me at bob@carrollwoodcc.com or inquire with a manager. Sincerely, Bob Foster, PGA General Manager, Carrollwood Country Club Regional Director, Concert Golf Partners |
