CVST February Nutrition Challenge - Fiber
Dear CVST Athletes & Parents,
Beginning on Monday, February 3rd, we will be having another optional, but HIGHLY recommended Nutrition Challenge that will be completed throughout the month of February. This challenge is to eat a high fiber food anytime during the day prior to practice. If they had a fiber-filled snack, they will receive a sticker for the day. The swimmer from each practice group with the most stickers at the end of the month will receive a super cool CVST nutrition bag tag!
Examples of high fiber foods include beans, broccoli, berries, avocado, whole grains, apples, dried fruit, potatoes, and nuts among other snacks too!
Fiber has been related to improvements in mental health, decreased inflammation, and overall improvements in well being. We hope you participate and continue to build healthy habits with us!
