Past 5 Months of CVST Swimmer of the Month Winners Finally Released
December 2018 - Brady Santo - The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Brady Santo as the December Swimmer of the Month. At Florida Swimming Harry Meisel “B” Championships West, the nine-year-old Silver Practice group member tied for the team lead with Kaitlyn Coles with six personal best times. Brady swam to best times in the 50 free, 200 free, 50 Breast, 50 Fly and 100-yard Individual Medley for a total time dropped of 26.7 seconds. Brady improved and average of 5.16% per event and also swam his first 100-yard Butterfly. Great job Brady and keep up the excellent work.
January 2019 - Julia Cox - The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Julia Cox as the January Swimmer of the Month. Swimming in two meets, the Berkeley Winter Training Challenge here in Tampa and the Gulf Coast Swim Team Winter Open in Fort Myers, the 13 year old Senior 2 practice group member tied for the team lead with Jayden Repak with 14 personal Best times. Julia swam to an average improvement of 3.24% with 81% of personal best times. Julia swam to best times in her 50 free, 100 free (2x), 200 free, 200 back, 100 breast (2x), 200 breast (2x), 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM (2x) and swam her first 1650-yard freestyle. For the month Julia dropped 74.99 seconds. Great job Julia and keep up the hard work.
February 2019 - Ella Abele - The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Ella Abele as the February Swimmer of the Month. Swimming at the CVST Last Chance Sweetheart Invitational at the Carrollwood Country Club, the 7-year-old Bronze practice group member swam to 9 personal best times with and average improvement of 3.90%. Ella swam to best times in the 25 free, 50 free, 25 back, 50 back, 25 breast, 25 fly, and 50 yard butterfly and her first ever 100 free and 100 yard individual medley with 100% personal best times for a total of 13.18 seconds dropped. Super job Ella and keep up the hard work.
March 2019 - Sophie Nichols - The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Sophia Nichols as the March Swimmer of the Month. Swimming at the Area 3 Championships in St. Petersburg, the 10-year-old Gold practice group member raced to nine personal best times out of nine events. Sophie swam to best times in her 25 free (14.24), 500 free (6:48.98), 25 back (17.04), 50 back (36.61), 100 back (1:19.37), 25 breast (17.82), 50 breast (39.80), 50 fly (35.76), and 100 IM (1:18.81) for an average improvement of 5.17%. For the meet Sophia dropped 26.77 seconds and picked up new FLAGS cuts in her 50 fly, 100 back and 100 IM. Way to go Sophie and keep up the hard work.
April 2019 - Isabella Herrera - The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Isabella Herrera as the April Swimmer of the Month. Swimming at the Boys and Girls Club Nationals the 8-year-old Silver practice group member swam to 8 best times out of 8 events. Bella swam to best times in her 25 free, 50 free, 100 free, 50 back, 25 breast, 50 breast, 25 fly, and 100 individual medley. While swimming 100% best times Bella also averaged an 8.30% improvement per event. For the meet Bella dropped a total of 37.14 seconds and scored in the top 10 in all of her events. Way to go Bella and keep up the hard work.
