2018 FLAGS Information for Coaches, Officials & Teams
GENERAL INFORMATION
Please be aware that a complete and updated meet packet has been posted on the Florida Swimming website. There have been a few changes and updates since the general meet information was posted last Fall, so please refer to the new document for all of your meet information. A summary of essential updates, along with some new FYI’s for coaches, officials and teams, are listed below:

· All morning preliminary sessions begin at 9:00am, (and NOT 9:30am as posted on some initial documents). Evening final sessions will remain at 5:00pm each night except for Sunday, which will remain at 4:30pm.

· There will be NO electronic heat sheets (or $2 heat sheet fee) as a part of this meet. Hard copy heat sheets will be available on site for every session.

· Entry fees in the OME have been zeroed out on purpose and all entry fees must be paid on site at the meet. A financial statement will be emailed to all teams after the entry deadline to be paid at your initial check.

· Warm up assignments will be based on team size, determined after the entry deadline and distributed to all teams.

· Returning for 2018, all participating teams will provide volunteer support to the LSC and host team for the morning preliminary sessions (only). Volunteer assignments will be based on team size, determined after the entry deadline and distributed to all teams. (Coaches- please have your parents organized and prepared for this process prior to the meet).
COACHES & OFFICIALS

· The coach and official check in table will be located at the event entrance of the pool as you immediately enter the Y. This is where you will initially check in to receive your deck pass, pay your entry fees and receive your heat sheet before every session. Please be sure to have access to your DeckPass app or a hard copy of your active and up-to-date USA Swimming credential for your initial check in, after which you will have a wristband to access the deck that must be visible at all times throughout the meet.

· The clerk of course table for positive check in, relay cards and scratches will be located at the bulkhead area between the competition pool and the diving well next to the bleachers on the I-4 side of the pool.

· The coach/official hospitality room, officials briefing room and ‘dry’ restrooms will be located inside the back hallway offices, under the stadium seating on the diving well side of the pool.
TEAMS & SPECTATORS

· The facility will open at 2:30pm on Thursday, February 15, (and NOT before). Please do not plan to arrive any earlier than 2:30pm.

· Parking will be available on site on a first come/first serve basis. FREE overflow parking is available across the street at the I-Drive360 parking structure. All teams and spectators staying on I-Drive are encouraged to walk or shuttle to the pool when possible.

· Seating for spectators will be available on a first come/first serve basis in the upper deck stadium seating and on the pool deck bleachers under the scoreboard (only). Swimmers will have access to seating on the pool deck bleachers along the I-4 side of the pool and the bleachers on the bulkhead between the competition pool and the diving well.

· NO tents will be allowed inside the facility (period) or within lined parking spaces outside the building. Teams and spectators may opt to set up tents within the grassy areas surrounding the facility that do not directly impact building entrances or emergency exits.

· Heat sheets will be available for $20.00, which includes all sessions. The heat sheet packet will be stamped for you to receive a free Finals heat sheet. Those who do not present a stamped heat sheet at Finals will be charged $2.

· The following vendors will be available on site during the meet:
o Augusta Swim Supply (suits, goggles and accessories) o Fine Designs (t-shirts and meet apparel)

o Simple Expressions (keepsake bag tags)
o Sky’s The Limit Visuals (action photography)

· This meet will operate with a closed pool deck in accordance with USA Swimming and Safe Sport rules. Only swimmers, coaches, officials and meet workers with the proper deck pass will be allowed into the competition area. Please note that swimmers WILL have access to the spectator areas but spectators will NOT have access to the pool deck.

· All meet support volunteers for the preliminary sessions (as assigned by visiting teams) should check in at the volunteer table, located at the event entrance of the pool as you immediately enter the Y. PLEASE be sure to check in for your shift no later than the requested time for each session.

· There will be NO access to the YMCA’s welcome center and/or wellness floor to any meet attendees that are not members of the YMCA of Central Florida. PLEASE help the host facility’s (non-swim meet) member experience and be respectful of this request throughout the meet.
