CVST Electronicc Communication Policy

CVST Electronic Communication Policy
From the CVST Handbook
All CVST Practice Groups will be talking about electronic communications and going over the CVST Electronic Commmunication Policy this week at their practices. If your swimmer is not at practice when this is talked about, it is strongly recommended that you go over the policy with them at home. This policy comes down as a directive of USA Swimming and all USA Swimming Teams must have a policy in place.
CVST ELECTRONIC COMMMUNICATION POLICY
PURPOSE
The Carrollwood Village Swim Team (CVST) recognizes the prevalence of electronic communication and social media in today’s world. While CVST acknowledges the value of these methods of communication, CVST also realizes that there are associated risks that must be considered when adults use these methods to communicate with minors.
GENERAL CONTENT
All communications between a coach or other adult and an athlete must be professional in nature and for the purpose of communicating information about team activities. The content and intent of all electronic communications must adhere to the USA Swimming Code of Conduct regarding Athlete Protection.
