Forman Named CVST July SOM
The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Sam Forman as the July Swimmer of the Month. In July the 12 year old Gold Practice Group Swimmer swam to 7 best times out 7 events. At the Area 3 Championships held at St. Pete’s North Shore Pool, Sam raced to best times in his 50yd Freestyle, 100yd Freestyle, 500yd Freestyle, 50yd and 100yd Breaststroke, 50yd Backstroke, and 100yd Individual Medley. Sam made finals in his 50yd Breaststroke where he place 2nd, 100yd IM where he improved 4 places from prelims to finals to place 4th, 50yd Backstroke where he improved 2 places from prelims to finals to place 5th, and his 100yd Breaststroke where he moved up 1 place from prelims to finals to place 5th. Sam dropped 1 minute and 5 seconds in his 500yd Freestyle, a 12.80% improvement and had an incredible 20.53% average improvement in all 7 of his races.
