Salgado Picks Up Back to Back CVST SOM Awards
For the second consecutive month, the Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Catalina Salgado as the Swimmer of the Month. For the Month of May, the 11 year old Senior 2 practice group swimmer raced to 14 personal best times with an average improvement of 7.75%. At the Brandon Blue Wave Invitational, Catalina swam to 11 personal best times out of 11 events including her first 800 meter Freestyle and first 400 meter Individual Medley. Catalina’s biggest time drop occurred in her 400 meter Freestyle where she dropped and incredible 50.14 seconds off of her previous best times. Cat’s second meet and final meet of the month occurred at the Carrollwood Country Club Athletic Center Pool where she raced to 3 personal best times out of 5 events. At the Private Club League quad meet Catalina not only swam a personal best time in her 50 yard Freestyle, but also broke the :30 second barrier for her first time with a time of 29.85.
