Walz Swims to January SOM Award
The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Henry Walz as the January Swimmer of the Month. At the Gulf Coast Swim Team Winter Invitational held at the Florida Gulf Coast University Aquatic Center in Fort Myers, FL the fourteen year old Senior 1 practice group swimmer swam to six best times out of nine events. Henry swam to best times in his 200 and 500 yard Freestyle, 100 yard Backstroke and Breaststroke, and in his 200 yard Butterfly and Individual Medley. Henry had his most time dropped in his 500 freestyle (5:57.14) where he bettered his previous personal best time by 16 seconds and an 11 percent improvement and 10 second drop in his 100 Breaststroke (1:20.20).
