The Carrollwood Village Swim Team coaching staff has named Ava Edwards as the October Swimmer of the Month. At the Central Florida Marilins Invitational, held on October 14, 15, and 16, the ten -year-old Gold practice group swimmer raced to seven best times out of seven events. Ava started off her meet on Friday night swimming the senior 500 yard Freestyle where she swam to an amazing 6:19.71, dropping 56.37 seconds to qualify her for the Florida Age Group Swimming Championships with a qualifying split of 2:32.12 in her 200 yard mark. Ava also dropped 8.88 seconds in her 100 yard Freestyle 1:04.51, 9.53 seconds in her 200 yard IM 2:50.70, 10.06 seconds in her 100 yard Backstroke 1:20.57, and swam a 32.79 50 yard Butterfly. Counting her 200 split in the 500 Freestyle Ava swam to eight best times in seven events for an average improvement of 7.84% way to go Ava and keep up the good work.
