CVST Wins 5th Straight Florida Swimming Spirit Award

CVST Wins 5th Straight Florida Swimming Spirit Award

The Carrollwood Village Swim Team brought home the Florida Swimming Team Spirit Award, from the Florida Swimming Harry Meisel B Championships along with a lot of great swims!  This was the fifth year in a row CVST has earned the coveted banner, which will be hung back at the Carrollwood Country Club Tennis & Aquatic Center.

The team’s theme for the meet this year was Swim Wars obviously based on the new Star Wars movie, which comes out this weekend. Congratulations to all members of the team on their 5th straight spirit win!

Although the Spirit Award was and is important to the team, Swimming was the main reason they were at St. Petersburg’s Northshore Pool for the weekend, and they swam as well as they cheered.  CVST was led by the 8&Under Boys Freestyle Relay (Landen Lee, Bodie Burrill, Bruno Borowiec, TJ Rodriguez) and the 10&Under Girls 100 Mdeley Relay (Olivia Byrne-Garcia, Lea Visher, Kaitlyn Labella, Ava Edwards) who all brought home the Gold Medals in both of those relays.

Other Relay Medalists included:
The 10&Under Boys Free Relay 2nd Place - Ivan Borowiec, Ayden Lee, John Gleason, Asher Gonzalez
The 8&Under Girls 100 Free Relay 3rd Place - Maddie Stenberg, Sophie Nichols, Mei-Mei Lee, Morgan Labella
The Senior Girls 200 Free Relay 3rd Place - Kayla Rodriguez, Savannah Rude, Sophia Hasara, Talia Bagby
