Ingerick Picks Up CVST February SOM Honors
The Carrollwood Village Swim Team has named Logan Ingerick as the February Swimmer of the Month. By swimming to six best times in seven events, the 11 year old St. Lawrence Fifth Grader, dropped a total of 65.72 seconds off of his previous best times. Swimming at the TBAY Gasparilla Invitational held at the Tampa Preparatory High School Colwell Aquatic Center, Logan lowered his 100 yard Freestyle time (59.15) by .70 seconds, and swam to new Florida Age-Group Swimming Championship (FLAGS) time standards in his 50 yard Breast stroke (37.85), 100 yard Back stroke (1:11.02), and 500 yard Freestyle (5:46.32) a 12.08 second drop his largest time drop of the meet. The following week at the Berkeley Preparatory Cantonis pool, Logan established a new personal best time in his first swimming mile, the 1650 yard Freestyle (20:28.68), and in the process, dropped 49.83 seconds in his 1000 yard split (12:01.45) for his fourth new FLAGS qualifying time of the month. His mile time also places him seventh in the 2014-2015 Florida Swimming Top Ten 11 & 12 Age-Group rankings for the 1650.
