Bowles Takes CVST's January SOM Honors
The Carrollwood Village Swim Team coaching staff has named Tyler Bowles (14) as its January Swimmer of the Month. Swimming at the Area Tallahassee Mac Crutchfield Invitational January 23, to January 25, 2015 at the Bobby Leach Center on the Florida State University Campus, the Cambridge Christian High School Freshman swam to seven best times in seven events. Swimming in his first meet after some tough two practices a day holiday training, Tyler dropped a total of 58.93 seconds. Tyler’s biggest improvement came in his first event, the 500 yard Freestyle, where he dropped a total of 25 seconds. Tyler’s other improvements: 100 yd Freestyle (-1.3), 200 yd Breaststroke (-13.8), 100 yd Backstroke (-3.7), 200 yd Freestyle (-6.1), 200 yd Backstroke (-6.4) and 50 yd Freestyle (-.9).
