Walz Honored with October SOM Award
In October, twelve-year-old,
Carrollwood Village Swim Team star, Henry Walz swam nine events and swam to eight best times. Henry started off the month on October 3rd with the CVST Friday Night at the Races where he posted best times in his 50 yard Breaststroke, 50 yard Butterfly, and 100 yard Individual Medley. Henry went on to swim at the Central Florida Marlins Invitation held in Ocala, Florida on October 17th-19th, where he swam to best times in his 50 yard Freestyle, 100 yard Freestyle, 200 yard Freestyle, 100 yard Backstroke, and again in the 50 yard Butterfly. For the month, Henry dropped a total of 55.11 seconds with his biggest drops coming in the 50 Fly where dropped a total of 12.40 seconds and in the 200 yard Freestyle where he dropped 20.60 seconds. For his efforts, the CVST coaching staff has named Henry Walz as its October Swimmer of the Month.
