Zambito Named July SOM
The CVST Coaching Staff named Maria Zambito (19) as the CVST 2014 July Swimmer of the Month. Maria gets this honor based mostly on her performance at the 2014 USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships. The meet was held at Florida Gulf Coast University, in Ft. Myers, July 29-August 2. At the meet Zambito swam a multitude os events including 8 individual events and 4 relays. She swam lifetime bests in 6 of her 8 individual events dropping a total of 48.80 seconds, including big drops of :34.47 in the 800 Meter Freestyle and 6 seconds in the 200 Individual Medley. Earlier in the month Maria also dropped 11.18 seconds in her 1000 Yard Freestyle at the Berkeley Last Chance Meet.
