Forman Named CVST March SOM
For her efforts at the 2014 Florida Swimming Age-Group Championships, the CVST coaching has named Abby Forman as the March Swimmer of the Month. At the FLAGS meet, held March 13 – 16 at the Selby Aquatics Complex in Sarasota, FL, the twelve year old Forman in her six events swam to personal best times in five events, moved up her seeding in five events, and scored in four of her events, dropping a total of 40.12 seconds. Abby started off her meet with the 1000 yard Freestyle where she improved from the thirteenth seed time to the seventh place finish. Abby swam an 11:09.55 with her biggest drop of 28.06 seconds. In her second event, the 200 yard Freestyle (2:06.79) she moved up from the 21st seed to a fourteenth place finish dropping over two seconds. In her third event, the 12 year old girls 50 yard Butterfly, Abby narrowly missed her best time (29.72) but managed to maintain her 19th place seed. Abby avenged herself and improved in the 100 yard butterfly (1:04.90) dropping 4.22 seconds, and moved into the finals heat at night from the bonus heat in the morning where she climbed from the thirty-third seed to the eight seed in the finals where maintained her eight place finish. Abby’s fifth event the 500 yard Freestyle (5:36.68) saw an improvement of six seeds with a time drop of 3.39 seconds. And in Abby’s final events the 12 year old girls 100 yard Freestyle, Abby moved up thirteen places from the 30th seed to the 17th place finish with a time of 58.26 dropping 1.66 seconds. Way to Abby and keep up the good work.
