CVST Swimmers Ramp It Up at CVST B Invitational
CVST hosted their Annual CVST B Invitational last month at the Carrollwood Country Club Tennis & Aquatic Center (TAC) and the team was awesome! Leading the way for the team, just after coming off winning the CVST October Swimmer of the Month Award, Ella Herron (6) brought home first place finishes in all four of her individual events; the 6&Under Girls 25 Yard Freestyle, 25 Yard Backstroke, 25 Yard Breaststroke and 25 Yard Butterfly. Her sister Emma (11) also picked if first place finishes in the 11-12 Girls 50 Yard Backstroke and 1000 Yard Freestyle. Also winning four events for the 10&Under Girls was Kaitlyn Labella (10) who won the 25 & 50 Yard Freestyles, 25 yard Backstroke and 25 yard Breaststroke. Abby Forman (11) picked up first places in two different age groups; in the 11-12 Girls 50 Yard Breaststroke and the Senior Girls 100 Yard Butterfly. Isabella Bahr (13) won the 13-14 Girls 1000 Year Freestyle and Payton Spear (15) brought home the gold in the Senior Girls 1000 Yard Freestyle. On the Boys side of the meet, Sam Forman (8) and Logan Ingerick (10) won all four of their events. Forman won the 7-8 Boys 25 Yard Backstroke, 25 Yard Breaststroke, 25 Yard Butterfly and the 50 yard Freestyle. Ingerick won the 10&Under Boys 50 & 100 Yard Freestyles, 50 yard Breaststroke and 100 Yard Backstroke. Alex Freund (8) won the 7-8 Boys 25 Yard Freestyle and Sean Kenny (9) won the 10&Under Boys 50 Yard Freestyle. Owen Mackenzie (12) picked up three first place finishes in the 11-12 Boys 50 Yard Backstroke, 100 Yard Freestyle and 1000 Yard Freestyle, while Tyler Bowles (13) won the 13-14 Boys 1000 Yard Freestyle and Thomas Miller (15) picked up first place in the Senior Boys 100 Breaststroke.
CVST also had four relay teams win their events:
8&Under Girls 100 Yard Freestyle Relay – Eva Edwards, Madison Ratchford, Kaitlyn Labella, Kaitlin Depies.
10&Under Girls 100 Yard Freestyle Relay – Mabry Bishop, Abby Eash, Savannah Kaddouri, Maddie Eash
Senior Girls 100 Yard Freestyle Relay – Carla Garrett, Brooke Lively, Isabella Bahr, Emma Herron
Senior Boys 100Yard Freestyle Relay – Owen Mackenzie, Thomas Miller, Logan Ingerick, Tyler Bowles
