OMack Named January 2013 CVST SOM
For his efforts, the CVST coaching staff has named Owen MacKenzie (12) as the January Swimmer of the Month. At the Gulf Coast Swim Team Winter Invitational in Fort Myers, Florida, Owen swam to eight best times dropping a total of one minute and fifty-five seconds. On his first night of competition at the Florida Gulf Coast University Aquatic Complex, the twelve year old Silver/Gold practice group swimmer started his meet off with an impressive twenty-seven second drop in the 500 yd. Freestyle hitting his goal time right on the head. Throughout the meet Owen consistently dropped time in all of his events and finished his meet off with another impressive 15 second drop in his 200 Individual Medley.
