CVST Swims Big At B Meet
CVST hosted the CVST B Invitational on Saturday at Emerald Greens and had a Big meet with Big swims and fast times, including a bunch of new
Emerald Greens Pool Records
for our CVST swimmers. Leading the way with four new individual Emerald Greens Pool Records and part or a relay record was Abby Forman (10). Forman picked up her new pool records for 10&Under Girls, while swimming up,in the Senior Age Group. The came in the 50 & 100 yard Freestyles, 100 yard Backstroke and 100 yard Breaststroke. She was also part of the Pool Record breaking Senior Girls 100 yard Freestyle Relay. Joining Forman in the relay was Anna Bolton (13), Emma Herron (11) and Lillian Garrett (13). Herron also established a Pool Record in the 11-12 Girls 1000 yard Freestyle. For the boys, the only Pool Record came from the 10&Under Boys in the 100 yard Freestyle Relay, where Sam Forman (7), Alex Smith (9), Logan Ingerick (9) and Greggory Cox (10) teamed up to smash the old Pool Record.
But Records were only the tip of the Big swims turned in by CVST swimmers. Our CVST 6&Under Girls, Madison Ratchford (6), Ava Edwards (6), Carly Elliott (6) and Ella Herron (5) took first through fourth in the 25 yard Freestyle & Backstroke. Mabry Bishop (8) dropped over 2 seconds in the 25 yard Backstroke; Anna Bolton (13) chopped almost five seconds off her 100 yard Breaststroke; Tyler Bowles (12) cut almost four seconds from his 100 yard Freestyle; Zach Bowles (14) took over 10 seconds off his 100 Backstroke; Julia Cox (7) chopped a whopping 13.73 seconds from her previous best in the 50 yard Freestyle; Katie Depies (7) too over a second off her 25 Freestyle; Abbie Eash (8) picked up the Blue Ribbon in the 7-8 Girls 25 Freestyle; Maddie Eash (9) took yet another second off her 50 yard Breaststroke; Carla Garrett (10) dropped almost 2 seconds in the 50 Freestyle; Kaitlyn Labella (7) first place ribbons in the 7-8 Girls 50 Freestyle, 25 Backstroke and the 25 Breaststroke; Broooke Lively (11) dropped over a second in her 50 Backstroke; Christopher Meeks (10) dropped over 2 1/2 seconds in the 50 Backstroke; Jim Orchard (13) axed over 23 seconds from his 1000 yard Freestyle; Kacey Rocco (8) too over 4 1/2 seconds off his 25 Backstroke; Christian Rodriguez (9) came up big in his first sanctioned meet with a great swim in the 50 Butterfly; Isabella Salgado (10) dropped a whopping 16+ seconds in her 50 Backstroke; Drew Selig (10) cut 2.37 seconds from her previous best in the 50 Freestyle; Josh Selig (7) dropped 1.7 seconds in his 25 Breaststroke; Sara Smith (7) chopped over 2 1/2 seconds off her previous best in the 25 Breaststroke and Sky Steele (18) took an amazing 16+ seconds off her previous best time in the 100 Butterfly.
As you can see from just these few examples, CVST swimmers had a great meet. Congratulations to everyone who swam and good luck to those swimming this weekend at the
