CVST Breaks Nine Pool Records at October FNR
 
CVST had a great Friday Night at the Races last Friday at the Emerald Greens Pool, breaking nine Pool Records   and beating the thunderstorms as well.  Led by Megan Hyer (6), Logan Ingerick (8), Logan Tirheimer (10) and Abby Forman (10), the entire team did an outstanding job in the pool.  Megan Hyer, in only her second swim meet, broke three Emerald Greens Pool records for the 6&Under Girls Age Group:  25 yard Backstroke; 25 yard Butterfly; and in her first attempt ever the 100 yard Individual Medley. Also picking up three new Pool Records was Abby Forman (10).  Her records came in the 9-10 Girls 100 yd Backstroke; 100 yd Breaststroke and the 100 yd Butterfly.  Logan Ingerick picked up two new Pool Records for the 7-8 Boys Age Group,those coming in the 25 yard Butterfly and 100 yard Individual Medley.  The final record setter for the meet was Logan Tirheimer (10) who broke the 9-10 Boys 100 yd Butterfly.
 
Other great swims were turned in by Mabry Bishop (8), who dropped almost 3 seconds in her 25 yd Breaststroke, Tyler Bowles (12) and his brother Zack (14)  who cut almost seven seconds in the 50 yd Breaststroke and over 18 seconds in the 100 yd Individual Medley respectively.  Gregory Cox (9) took 1.73 seconds off his 25 yd Butterfly, while his sister Julia chopped over 11 seconds from her 25 yd Backstroke.  Kaitlin Depies (7) had a huge 13 second drop in her 100 yd Individual Medley, while Madelynne Eash (9) lowered hers almost 3 seconds and six year olds Eva Edwards and Carly Elliott also had big drops in their Individual Medleys.  Ethan Elliott (8), not to be out done by his sister, turned in a drop of over seven seconds in his 100 yd Individual Medley.  Sammy Gold (7) sliced over 2 seconds from his best 25 yd Backstroke as did Ella Herron (5) in her 25 yd Freestyle.  Sean Hyer (8) axed and even 16 seconds off his previous best in the 25 yd Butterfly and Sean Kenny (8) took over 3 ½ seconds off his 25 yd Backstroke.  Kaitlyn Labella (7) took over 1 ½ seconds off her 25 yd Freestyle and Brooke Lively (11) lowered her best in the 25 Butterfly by 6 ½ seconds.  Christopher Meeks (10) dropped an amazing 45+ seconds in his 100 yd Individual Medley while brother Matthew (13) lowered his 100 yd Individual Medley time by 17.83 seconds.  Madison Ratchford (6) dropped over 2 seconds in the 25 yd Breaststroke.  Donovan Simonton (10) took 5.72 seconds off  his 50 yd Breaststroke time.  Alex Smith (9) dropped over 11 seconds in the 100 yd Individual Medley, while Sara Smith (7) and Sky Steele (18) dropped about 1.7 seconds in the 25 yd Breaststroke and 50 yd Backstroke respectively.
