CVST Announces June-August SOM Award Winners
June 2012 – Madison Ratchford (6) – Madison Ratchford of the CVST Bronze Practice Group, was selected as the June 2012 CVST Swimmer of the Month based on her 100 % best time performance over the month. Madison not only swam all best times, but she also in her first ever long course meet, The Tampa Bay Swim Classic. Her hard work and focus on doing her strokes correctly helped her along the way to earning this award. Over the month Madison dropped a ton of time including 1:42.14 in her 100 Individual Medley alone! Congratulations Madison and keep up the great work!
July 2012 – Abby Forman (10) – After her amazing performance this month, at the Florida Swimming Age Group Championships and the St. Petersburg Last Chance Meet, Abby Forman, of the CVST Senior 2 Practice Group, was named the CVST 2012 July Swimmer of the Month. She swam best times in 10 different events, many of them multiple times including 5+ second drops at the FLAGS Meet in both the 100 Meter Butterfly and the 200 Meter Individual Medley. Keep up the great efforts Abby!
August 2012 - Emma Volz (17) - Emma Volz has been named the CVST Swimmer of the Month of the month of August 2012. This is the third year in a row Volz has received the award for the month of August based on her outstanding performance at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championships, held August 6-10, in Plantation, Florida. While there, Volz swam to Finals swims in five of six events and scored all but four of CVST's points in the meet.
