CVST Fourth at FS Open Water Champ's
CVST finished 4th as a team at this weekend's Florida Swimming Open Water Championships, at Mirromar Lakes, in Ft. Myers. CVST sent five swimmers to the event and all five medaled and scored in their respective events. Corey Stein (17) finished 4th in the Senior Men's 5K Race in spite of being sick that morning with a gutsy time of 1:13:08.00. Jackie Kenny (16) finished 5th in the 15-16 Girls 5K Race with a great swim of 1:14:59.00. Also finishing 5th in her age group, the 10&Under Girls, was Abby Forman (10) who was swimming in her first ever Open Water Race. For the 800M distance She clocked an impressive time of :18.38.00. Coming in 6th in the 11-12 Girls 2.5K Race, with a great time of :44.40.00, was Madeline Rawls (11), who looked like a veteran Open Water Swimmer from start to finish. In the toughest age group, Numbers and competitio
n wise, the 13-14 Boys, Fitz Rawls (13) finished 8th, with an outstanding time of 1:15:46.00.
