CVST Wins B-Champ's Team Spirit Award
Last weekend in St. Petersburg, the Carrollwood Village Swim Team brought home the Team Spirit Award at the Harry Meisel Championships West. The Meisel Championships, named after the late and legendary coach out of Orlando, are two developmental meets held on both coasts of Florida over the same weekend. With the goal of winning the team spirit award the young swimmers came prepared with posters, meet T-shirts, and a determination to cheer on their teammates in every race and cheer they did. After weeks of training and buoyed on by screaming teammates CVST swam to a number of exceptional races. Medalist include: 2nd place Girls 200 Free Relay Kristen Docobo, Kristine Lee, Madeline Rawls, Demmi Parrino, 3rd place Boys 500 Freestyle Fitz Rawls, 1st place 10 & U Girls 50 Fly Abby Forman, 3rd place 10 & U Girls 200 Freestyle Abby Forman, 2nd place 13 & 14 Boys 200 Freestyle Fitz Rawls, 2nd and 3rd place 13 & 14 Boys 200 Fly Fitz Rawls & Daryl Pickerell, 3rd place 13 & 14 Boys 100 Back Fitz Rawls, 1st place 11 & 12 Girls 50 Free Demmi Parrino and 3rd Place Girls 200 Medley Relaly Kristine Lee, Madeline Rawls, Demmi Parrino, and Isabella Bahr.
