The 2011 Florida Swimming Long Course Senior Championships  finished up today at the Indian River State College, in Fort Pierce, and the CVST Seniors were strong to the end.  To start out the day Emma Volz (16) had a strong showing in her off event, the 100 Meter Freestyle, where she went a 1:04, right at her best time.  Next up was Corey Stein (16), also in the 100 Meter Freestyle and also an off event.  this was another big swim for Corey, dropping 2 seconds to go a 1:01..43.  CVST's third Senior in the meet, Jackie Kenny (15) was up next, where she swam the 200 Meter Backstroke and went the same as her best time (2:38.52).

Next up were the 1500 Meter Freestyles (The Miles), and just like the group started off the meet with some great 800's they finished up with some great 1500's!  First up was Kenny, in the 15-16 Girls Mile.  She not only went her best time but dropped over 36 seconds from her previous best, scored in the event with a 15th Place finish and also picked up a qualifying time for the 2011 USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championship .  Not to be outdone Stein also had a big swim dropping over 23 seconds (18:32.48) in the 15-16 Boys 1500 Freestyle, capping off his best overall meet performance ever .   The final swim of the meet came in Sunday Night's Finals, where Volz was in the fast heat of the mile.  Emma went an 18:23.38 and picked up a sixth place overall finish in the event.
