Two New Senior Zone Cuts On First Night of Senior Champ's
The
2011 Florida Swimming Long Course Senior Championships got underway in Ft. Pierce tonight and CVST had a great start. The only individual events slated for this evening were the 800 Meter Freestules and Emma Volz (16) started things out with a 9:32.19, good enough for 11th place overall in the 16-16 Girls Age Group. Next up was Jackie Kenny (15) who went 10:04.80, which was a personal best by over 15 seconds, and picked up the 2011 USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championship
Qualifying Time. The Final swim of the evening came from Corey Stein (16) in the 15-18 Boys age group. Corey also went his personal best lowering his previous time of 9:57.34 with a 9:36.29, and making his first 2011 USA Swimming Southern Zone Senior Championship Qualifying Time.
The meet continues tomorrow and runs through Sunday at the Indian River State College Aquatic Center
