CVST 5th at Florida Open Water Championships
CVST Finished 5th as a team last weekend in Fort Myers Beach at the 2011 Florida Swimming Open Water Championships. Just two points short of a third place team finish, the trio of Emma Volz (16), Jackie Kenny (15) and Corey Stein (16) had great races all around.
Volz picked up the Silver Medal in the 15-18 Girls 4K Race with a time of 56 minutes, 32.19 seconds. Kenny picked up the Bronze Medal in the same event with a time of 1 hour, 5.08 seconds. In the 15-18 Boys 4K Race, Stein brought home the Bronze Medal, finishing in a time of 58 minutes, 12.09 seconds.
All three swimmers were also members of the Florida Swimming Open Water All-Star Team where they defeated Gold Coast Swimming for the Florida Open Water All-Star Challenge Title.
