Rawls Leads CVST With First "FLAGS" Cut
 
CVST headed over to the Long Center, in Clearwater this past weekend for the Last Chance Meet and Fitz Rawls (12) of the CVST Senior 2 Practice Group led the way with his first ever Florida Age Group Championships (FLAGS) qualifying swim.  The cut came on Sunday of the three day meet, in the 100 yard Backstroke, where he went 1:11.58, eclipsing the cut of 1:12.29 by over a half second.  Congratulations Fitz.

There were a lot of other great performances ovcer the weekend as well, including:

Abby Forman (9) who swam to a 7 of 9 best time performance, including a drop of over 19 seconds in the 100 yard Breaststroke;
Sam Forman (6) who went best times in both events he swam;
Carla Garrett (8) who had a 16+ second drop in the 100 Individual Medley;
Lillian Garrett (11) who swam to all best times, 8 for 8, with a drop of almost 24 seconds in the 100 Individual Medley;
Emma Herron (9) who went three for three, personal best times;
Demmi Parrino (11) who went six best times and swam her first 500 Freestyle;
Courtney Prima (15) who dropped over 10 seconds in her 400 Individual Medley;
Madeline Rawls (10) who went five personal bests along with huge drop of over 26 seconds in her 500 Freestyle.
